Thursday’s Thoughts
Fairview Community Church
Worshiping God and Welcoming All Every Sunday at 10am

Hiya Fairview and Friends!

We just keep having one amazing week after another!  Last Saturday’s Women’s Tea was a delight!  All of the hard work our Fairview women put into this tea really showed!  The prizes were incredible (incidentally, I won an original Blake photograph!), the food was daintily delicious, the tables were creative, and the atmosphere was enchanting!  This in itself would have made for a perfect weekend, but following this fun was joyful, adorable, and altogether wonderful Spring Pageant “No, It’s My Garden!”  starring the children of our church (and a couple of big kids along with them!)  It was so cute!   I have to say, church outside was really fun!  I had such a great time and I think others did too, I hope we’ll consider church on the patio more often!  It sure was lovely!  Special thanks to the director, Myrna Pappas , Frenacee Schuck and her granddaughter Ashley who painted all the adorable faces of the residents of the garden!

Its seems like its always busy here at Fairview and so this weekend will be no different.  Tomorrow night is another Fantastic Friday!   This Friday is board game night at the church for the kids, and, as usual, fun for the adults at Acapulco !  Hope you’ll join us at either location for a Far-out, Fun-Filled, Fabulous, Fantastic Friday!

Saturday morning is the OC AIDS Walk!  The friendly competition between our secretary, Cindy and me, looks like is going to be won by dear old Cindy!  I have raised just over $200 while Cindy has raised over $1000.  She’s done such a great job for our team!  It’s not too late to sign up!  I promise it will be fun!  And I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt any of us to get a little exercise!  So…sign up for our Fairview team today!  Fairview’s AIDS WALK Team

On Tuesday we had our first session of yoga led by Nathalie Abadjian.  I have done yoga before, but I have to say that never have I felt so spiritual about yoga.  This is a very gentle and meditative yoga.  I think whether you are 22 and limber or 72 and slower, you will not only benefit, but love this yoga session.  If you are the type of person who is looking for a new way to experience the divine, then I hope you’ll come out this Tuesday to find the spirit of God in you, in your breath and in the breath of the universe.

Hope to see you tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday!

The Wide, Wide World of Theology!
Jesus,
you know us.
You call us friends.
You love us rich or poor,
love us soaring high
or hitting the
floor.

Send us your Spirit .
Help us to do
the one
thing

necessary.
Love God above all things,
love our neighbor,
rich and poor,
as you love
us.
